10 Going On 22: The Era’s Birthday

MILA’S 10! Aaaahhhhh! How is this possible? She's growing up so fast! 😭

We knew her 10th birthday had to be special, so we brought Taylor Swift into the mix! 😍 

Mila, and all her besties enjoyed an Eras Tour slumber party, and of course, we had to get custom T-shirts, goodie bags, and sleeping tents. The amazing folks from WonderTent Parties really came through and turned the dream to reality!

The party wouldn’t be complete without these adorable goodie bags for her friends! Each bag includes:

Now that Mila is 10, here are 10 lessons I hope she embraces in the next phase of her life! 💌 

1) Collect all the experiences: Go on that hike, say yes to that concert, read that book. Do as much as you can that will allow you to see and feel the world starting now (responsibly)

2) Don't be afraid to speak up: Sounds odd saying this in 2024, but being a middle child & sandwiched between 2 brothers means sometimes letting others have their way to keep the peace. There's a time and place for this but speak up, especially when it matters most to you.

3) Pay it forward: Make the personal & professional introductions. Be the connector. You won't regret it and it will serve you well.

4) Go through it to grow through it: Experience fear and failure then learn from the lessons they teach you. It's during these instances we really grow into who we are and realize our potential.

5) Treat your close friendships like a delicate flower: Feed them with time, water them with kindness, keep the weeds of gossip at bay, and prune those that are sapping resources and no longer flourishing.

6) Forgive easily: You will be wronged in life but letting that consume you is only a detriment to yourself. Feel it, process it and get over it. But always be gracious and lead with love.

7) Be your own hype girl: This has taken me a lifetime to learn, but be your own motivational speaker, be confident & believe in yourself because that's when the magic happens.

8) Be generous without expecting anything in return: Be kind, give your time and love to those that need it. It will fill your cup in so many ways and you might not be able to see it now but you will as you get older.

9) It's not always about you: If someone treats you poorly, remember their behavior is more of a reflection of their own internal struggles than you. But also, it's not always about what you want - be selfless and think about what makes them happy too.

10) Be accountable: You will make mistakes, and when you do take responsibility for your actions. Nothing garners more respect and trust.

Vacation Must Have’s

When you're on vacation, having the right beauty products can make all the difference. My favorite picks are minimal, easy to carry, and offers hassle-free makeup routines.

Remember, travel-sized essentials are a MUST—the last thing you want is for TSA to toss your products! 😭

Here’s some of my essentials:

1. (and 2.) You can count on Maybelline and e.l.f. skin tints as your go-to base for super hot days. It’s ideal if you want a fresh, natural appearance but also don’t want to deal with sweat and humidity.

3. I shared Loreal’s waterproof concealer last week on my stories… and guys…I’m such a fan! Lasted me all day with zero touch-ups 🤩. I also noticed it resists creasing pretty well!

4. Ardell Beauty’s pre glued lashes are so effortless, which makes them perfect for vacations. They’re super comfortable to wear all day and I love the fact that it’s reusable up to 4 times!

5. Huda Beauty’s loose powder is perfect for heavy-duty days. It’s a silky setting powder and really gives that airbrushed finish.

6. I’m trying Lys Beauty for the first time and I’ll just say this…EXCELLENT! The lightweight spray locks makeup so well. It’s also packed with cucumber and green tea extract so it feels so good on the skin.

Patchology’s eye gels, are my new travel essential!

They work wonders on under-eye bags and fine lines and de-puff in 5 minutes or so.

Here’s how you incorporate it in your travel:

• Apply the gels during or after your flight! This will instantly revitalize your eyes from the long journey.

• Put them in the hotel mini fridge or cooler and use them in the morning before you head out for the day. It will look like you got your full 8 hours of sleep!
