Praying for LA ❤️

How you can help!

Hey you,

It’s been an emotional week, to say the least, so thank you for being here. ❤️

The fires in LA have been absolutely heartbreaking. Families have lost their homes, their sense of safety, and so much more. As a mom, I can’t imagine the fear and uncertainty these families are feeling right now—it’s been weighing on me deeply.

All week, I’ve been searching for ways to help my city and the people affected by this.

From donations to volunteering, there are so many ways we can come together to support those in need. If you’d like to make a difference, I’ve compiled a list of trusted resources where you can help families directly—whether through financial contributions or sending supplies.

I know we’ll show up in the most meaningful way. ❤️

Resources

Monetary Donations

If you’re wanting to help families directly affected by these fires, here is a master list which features over 700+ crowdfunding campaigns compiled to help you connect with those who need support the most. To make it easier to find active campaigns still working toward their goal, the ones that have already surpassed their target have been moved to the bottom. If you know anyone that’s started a GoFundMe tell them to add their campaign on this list as well!

Clothing Donations

I’ve been on a mission to clean out our closets around the house and put together a big donation of clothes. Some items still have tags on or are gently worn—it feels good to know they can find a new home! @secondsmarket is doing an incredible job of matching donated items with families in need, tailoring each donation to fit by gender, size, age, and specific items. It’s such a thoughtful way to make sure every piece goes to someone who truly needs it.

Beauty/ Skincare Donations

This inspiring campaign was started by a group of teenagers from the Altadena area. It's amazing to see young people stepping up, showing initiative, and making a difference in their community. They’re not only collecting donations but also volunteering their time to help others rebuild. If you have any beauty products or skincare items you can spare, consider donating to their cause. Every little bit helps, and it’s heartwarming to see how they’re bringing hope and care to those in need!

Brand Donations

Fill Out the form!

My friend Shilpa has launched an incredible campaign inviting brands to step up and support families in need right here in LA. It’s so important for brands to get involved because their contributions can literally transform lives, providing hope and essential resources to families as they rebuild. This is a meaningful way for brands to create a real, lasting impact and show the power of generosity.

Food Donations

@lacommunityfridges has locations all over LA where they’re accepting food donations to help those affected by the fire. With 15 fridges all over LA, these community fridges are stepping up to fill the gap and make sure help reaches those who need it most. Be sure to check the list and see what items are accepted or not. Most fridges are open 24/7, making it easy to drop off items when it works for you.

Conversations With Your Kids

As a mom, I know how important it is to talk to our kids about the world around them, even when the topics are hard. The fires in LA have been devastating, destroying not only homes, but also schools, and parks—places where kids spent so much time with friends. Seeing these familiar spaces gone can take a real mental toll on children, even if they weren’t directly affected. It’s natural for them to feel anxious or upset, and it’s up to us to help them process these feelings with compassion and understanding. I’m sharing an article with thoughtful tips on how to have these conversations.

I’ll be doing more research throughout the week and sharing additional resources on my stories. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this and for any support you’re able to give. ❤️ To anyone affected by these fires: I am sending so much love and strength your way, my heart and prayers are with you.

I want to leave you with this beautiful video—a heartfelt reminder that hope and resilience will help us rebuild and move forward. ❤️
