The Best DIY Birthday!

Mila’s 11th Birthday!

If you took sunshine and bottled it up that would be the best description of Miss Mila 🌞✨. Happy 11th birthday to my forever bestie and favorite daughter. Thank you for being the light you are & doing everything with your mama, even be in her silly little videos ❤️🎉🎂🥳 Per usual I’m sure for every parent I took a trip down memory lane and found some gems!

We had to do something special for our girl, and you know how it gets planning things around summer break with vacations, sports and camps… but this one simple DIY completely stole the show for Mila’s 11th!

I'm talking about our DIY hoodie station…and you guuyyys 😍, some of the girls spent more time at the craft table than they did in the pool!! That's success in my eyes! 😂

What we did:

I set up a simple station with white blank hoodies and tons of iron-on patches from Amazon (pro tip: stock up on L's and M's because apparently every kid has those letters in their name 😅). The girls went wild designing their own custom hoodies! Some kept it simple but most of them went crazy with the patches 😂, so be sure to get a variety! I have some linked here.

The best part is, this isn't just a birthday activity. This DIY works for sooo many occasions:

Summer camp prep? Let the kids customize their own camp gear, hats and t-shirts. Perfect for fam reunions too! You're not just keeping kids busy for the night, but letting them make something they'll actually hold onto for some time 🫶. Trust me, save this idea… You’ll thank me later!

Here are the things I packed in the goody bags also! The gratitude journals were such a hit, I got tons of DM’s. It’s from Amazon! 🤗 Again, I wanted the gifts to be useful, so even things like the clear bags, pens and fuzzy slippers were perfect to include.

This flowing strapless maxi is just wow😍😍! Love the color, the soft blue shade is just perfect ✨. Honestly such a great find from Amazon… comfort meets sophistication at its finest.

Brown blazer + star-print sheer pants

A repeat offender… but can you blame me?? deff one of my favorite outfits of the year! Absolutely in LOVEEEE with these sheer pants, unfortunately its sold out at Zara 😭 so I have similar linked! Pair with a structured blazer to balance the sparkle but also elevate the overall look a bit! I have on a brown bodysuit under! Party-ready but still sophisticated enough for any gathering.
